The CSR campaign is a major campaign in 6 decades with 6 continuous years of activities amounted to the total value of 6,666,666 Baht.

Cyrille F. Buhrman, Pacific Healthcare’s Group Chairman said “The Pacific Healthcare Group was founded in Thailand by the late Frits Buhrman in 1961 and in 2021 will mark its 60th year of doing business in this country. Throughout the company’s history, it has been widely recognized as the leading organization in sales and marketing with a focus on pharmaceutical products, medical devices and consumables used in hospitals in Thailand and other 3 South-East Asian countries namely the Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar. We’re a proud family-owned business enterprise with a strong vision to work with trusted people and partners as well as to deliver the best-in-class in sales and marketing services to our principals and customers in a transparent and sustainable manner. We love and proud in the products we sell extending to the manufacturers inclusive of more than 50 brands from 10 countries around the world.”

In the auspicious occasion celebrating 6 decades of successful business operation, we have initiated a major campaign “6 of Pride: 6 Sustainability Projects”. It’s the group’s long-term commitment to give back to the society and the community in which it has been thriving. “We’ve committed to at least 6 continuous years of activities to foster a long-term sustainability.” This year will be the first year laying strong and stable foundation towards sustainability in the future. The 6 projects will be based on 3 pillars namely Social Sustainability, Environmental Sustainability and Economical Sustainability.

“6 of Pride: 6 Sustainability Projects” are:

  1. Local Economy through the support and promotion of OTOP. OTOP products will be featured in the organization’s numerous events such as presents for New Year and for other occasions. At present, we’ve ordered tie dye fabrics from community enterprises, Thung Charoen Moa-hoam (Natural Indigo-dyed Fabric) from Phrae province to be tailored into the company’s 60th anniversary commemorating shirt. In addition to support the community enterprise’s products, we’ve also fulfilled the lack of business knowledge. Pacific Healthcare will order products from 36 tambons throughout the campaign duration.
  2. Children and Well-being. Last year, Pacific Healthcare held numerous activities to help poor and disabled children as well as orphans through Father Ray Foundation by organizing events such as “Pacific Healthcare Run for Children of Father Ray Foundation” with 689,690-Baht donation and another 500,000 Baht from Mr. Cyrille’s contribution, totaled to 1,189,690 Baht. DG’s goat milk products have also been donated to promote the children’s growth and development. On 25 February 2021, Pacific Healthcare and Mr. Cyrille F. Buhrman have donated 1,2000,000 Baht to ensure the continuing improvement in the quality of living and education of children under Father Ray Foundation. Furthermore, “Garage Sale”, another activity scheduled for March 2021, will invite over 300 employees to donate second hand goods and seldom used personal belongings to be on sale. All proceeds from the garage sale will go to Father Ray Foundation.

In addition, Pacific Healthcare and Mr. Cyrille F. Buhrman have also recognized the necessity to improve daily living and education of children from The Association of Children and Youth for Peace in the Southernmost Provinces of Thailand or Luuk Rieang Group who have been affected by the violence in 3 Southernmost provinces by donating 1,200,000 Baht to the association. Other activities are taking children from Father Ray Foundation and youth from Luuk Rieang Group to plant corals and to take care of animals under ‘Wildlife Friends Foundation’. These activities aim to raise awareness in natural resource and environmental conservation among young generation of Thais.

  1. Environmental Conservation through PHC Blue Ocean Project to plant corals and return fertility to Samae San, Chonburi. To maintain the nature’s sustainability, we’ll continue our activities for at least 6 years. Each coral that we plant every year will be accumulated into a coral bank. These corals can then be reproduced in abundance providing limitless benefits to seas and oceans many years to come. This activity is scheduled to start in April 2021.
  2. Wildlife Preservation through Wildlife Friends Foundation, Wat Khao Luuk Chang, Phetchaburi province is another natural resource and environmental conservation activity. The foundation has more than 400 animals under its care such as monkey, gibbon, langur, loris, palm civet, bear, elephant and tiger. These animals are wildlife in the nature and some are in captivity. Some have been maltreated and deserted before getting into the foundation’s attention and care. Not only that Pacific Healthcare will provide volunteer staffs to help the foundation’s personnel to restore and nurture these animals’ health but also collecting many kinds of donation such as money, animal food and medicine. The efforts are our contributions to enable the Foundation’s continuing mission. This project will start in May 2021.
  3. Occupational Opportunities during Covid-19 pandemic. The current pandemic has landed many people jobless. With the rising number of unemployment, we have collaborated with Vocational Training Center Lumpini Park, Bangkok to open training courses to general public. There are many classes such as baking, making Thai desserts, art and craft, hairdressing. The aim is to train and develop these skills into stable professions. Pacific Healthcare supports by providing free area to those who passed the vocational training exam to sell their finished products in order to reduce their business operating cost. The activity will be during August – September 2021. Those who attended hairdressing class and passed the exam will be providing their services to children in Father Ray Foundation. This activity will be carried out twice a year before the school term’s commencement in May and October.
  4. Healthcare and Sanitation through Medical Volunteer Project. Pacific Healthcare team has collaborated with Dr. Supat Jai-ngarm, Director of Pang Mapha Hospital, Mae Hong Son and healthcare professionals team who carry out Medical Volunteer Camp at 2 hilltribe villages namely Baan Pang Kam Noi and Baan Pah Puek, Tambon Mae Lana Amphoe Pang Mapha, Mae Hong Son. Volunteer doctor, nurse and pharmacist at Pang Mapha Hospital will provide medical assistance and health care services. While volunteer staffs from Pacific Healthcare will assist in other aspects such as to teach them how to use applications on mobile and on computer. These activities will enable those hilltribes in remote areas to use the acquired knowledge to benefit their daily living and work. The project will start in August 2021.

“For Pacific Healthcare, the sustainability isn’t only the tangible outcome resulting from these activities but also the fostering of the volunteer spirit among our staffs. Many of these activities are carried out on their days off but each staff is willing to contribute both time and effort to make it happen. Every activity is their sacrifice and the result is the collective ownership to protect any project that they’ve invested both time and effort in. But as the management, we must ensure that our staffs won’t feel being encroached too much upon their free times and/or resources. If we engage in any activity with this principle in mind, the result is the willingness to participate on a regular basis until the sustainability is achieved as the ultimate result.” Mr. Cyrille F. Buhrman concluded on the core sustainability in organizing successful activity.
