Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has undertaken royal duties in Rayong province.

At 8:56 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov 3), Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn proceeded to Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) in Wang Chan district, Rayong province, to present doctoral and master’s degrees to 12 VISTEC graduates of the graduating class of 2019. The Princess also conferred certificates on representatives of the Kamnoetvidya Science Academy (KVIS) and presented scholarships to students with outstanding academic achievements.

Her Royal Highness then delivered a speech to the graduates, saying “All the graduates have now attained advanced education and have acquired knowledge from teachers who are able to deliver their best at all times. This is the time for the graduates to apply their knowledge in their work and make positive contributions to others. In the work environment, the graduates will see different perspectives of the world and meet many types of people. You will begin to understand that not everything in your work and lives will meet your expectations. I ask everyone of you always to have self-awareness. Train yourself to become stronger and be reasonable when making decisions. Graduates should not be neglectful, and should strive to increase their knowledge and stay up-to-date. Continue improving your skills because the world is changing quickly and new knowledge is created all the time. Failing to do so will make you fall behind. It is like a boat struggling to move against the current. In the future, when you have to face challenges, your skills and knowledge will be able to alleviate the hardship. Knowledge is valuable, as an old saying goes: A lesson learned can bring in an abundance of wealth.”

Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn then received various groups, who presented funds and souvenirs to Her Royal Highness. The Princess presented souvenirs to the donors in return.
