Healthiness has joined with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to support the Innovation and Technology Assistance Program and AVS Innovation Co Ltd, a company under Thailand Science Park, in developing \u201cBesuto 12\u201d (Besuto Twelve).<\/strong>
\nThe alcohol free gel, which is scientifically proven to kill more than 99% of the coronavirus and the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), which spreads widely among small children, is set to be the best choice for people to lead a \u201cnew normal\u201d<\/strong> lifestyle in the coronavirus pandemic.
\nNantiya Viriyalbanthor,<\/strong> D.Eng. Division Director Innovation and Technology Assistance Program (ITAP), explained that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the ITAP, under the NSTDA, launched the \u201cFast Track: Medicine and Medical Device Fight COVID-19\u201d<\/strong> project to encourage potential Thai business operators to quickly develop medical products and related facilities.<\/p>\n

The project supported the testing process, which is key to building confidence and proving that the chosen research products can provide a practical and efficient solution to the pandemic, as well as building a strong foundation for research into medicine and medical devices in the long term. Financially supported by the ITAP, the alcoholic free gel \u201cBesuto12\u201d is one of the marketable innovations that has come out of the cooperation the between public and private sectors. The aim is to build confidence in the product and also encourage more innovations by Thai researchers for sustainable safety and health.<\/p>\n

\nCapt.Thatchaphon Chonwattanasakul<\/strong> (Pharmacist), CEO Healthiness Company Limited, said the novel coronavirus pandemic pushed the company to develop a product that protects from and kills the virus. The company has collaborated with AVS Innovation, an organization under Thailand Science Park, as well as NSTDA to develop this innovative alcoholic free gel, which has been named \u201cBesuto 12\u201d (Besuto Twelve).<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\u201cBesuto 12\u201d<\/strong> is the first disinfectant hand gel scientifically proven to kill more than 99% of not only the coronavirus, but also bacteria, mold, and the RSV, which spreads widely among small children. Thanks to its \u201cthin film\u201d technology,<\/strong> the gel can protect for up to 12 hours, without requiring reapplication. Made with natural substances, namely grape seed, cucumber extract and green tea extract, the alcohol free gel not only adds moisture to the skin but doesn\u2019t cause irritation when applying. The product has won a silver medal and a Special Award from the International Invention Innovation Competition (iCan2020) in Canada.
\nLeading national research teams and institutions have lent their cooperation in testing the effectiveness of the protection against pathogens. The test on Covid-19 was conducted by Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Mahidol University; RSV by Biomedical Science, Medicine Education, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkhla University; H1N1 by the Veterinary Library and Information Center, Chulalongkorn University; H3N2 and pseudomonas aeruginosa & staphylococcus aureus \u2013 MRSA & Fungus bacteria by Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. These have proved that all pathogens can be neutralized by \u201cBesuto 12\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nChair, Biosafety and Infrastructure, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, revealed that a comparison test between the use of Besuto 12 and other disinfecting gels against Covid-19 found that Besuto 12 and its natural components could kill the Covid-19 virus by than 99%.<\/p>\n
